1. How do I list a job on www.MoveMarket.ie to receive bids?
To list a job simply register as a customer which takes less than a minute. To activate your account you will need to login. At this stage you may list the details of your job and submit it. Your job will appear on the site soon after.

2. How do I get the best price for my job?
The best value for moving your goods in Ireland can be found on MoveMarket.ie but there are ways of improving the price you get. The following are some ways of doing this: - provide a detailed description of your items including size and weight - add a photograph to help operators determine if they can move it - the more flexible you are with dates the cheaper it will be as operators will try to fit your job around others they are doing - if you can’t be flexible then be as specific as possible by detailing exactly when you want the items collected and delivered e.g. “items can only be collected after 6pm but must be delivered during office hours” etc.
3. Do I have to wait until the expiry date to accept a bid?
No, you may accept a bid at any stage and bids may even be accepted for 1 week after the expiry date by logging in and accessing your account.
4. Will I be notified when a bid is placed on my job?
Yes. You will receive an email every time you receive a bid from an operator and also when operators ask a question about your job.
5. After I accept a bid, what happens next?
After a customer accepts a bid they will pay a deposit for their job on the website. The customer will then receive an email with the successful operators contact details. The customer should immediately contact the operator to arrange the exact details of the job e.g. exact collection/delivery address and time. At this stage the customer and operator should agree how the balance of the cost of the job will be paid.
6. How do operators collect their fee?
When a customer accepts a bid they will pay a deposit for this job via the website. The operator will expect the balance of the payment to be paid to them by the customer as MoveMarket.ie will have already collected the success fee via the deposit. The customer and the operator must agree the terms of this payment between themselves.
7. As an operator how do I improve my chances of winning jobs?
Providing the lowest price is the best way of winning jobs but there are other ways of improving your chances. Operators who describe their service, availability, experience and level of insurance are typically the ones who win most work. Operators who leave no comments rarely win jobs. Every time you complete a job you may be rated by the customer. The better your rating the more likely prospective customers will choose you so keep that in mind when you are doing your next job.
8. Can Operators provide their contact details when they bid on jobs?
No, operators may not provide their contact details when they place a bid. By doing this MoveMarket may suspend the operators account for 1 month or terminate their use of the site for repetitive breaches of the terms and conditions.
9. I am an operator, is VAT included in my bid?
Yes, your bid should include VAT and any other costs associated with you completing a job. Once your bid is accepted on the site you may not request any additional amounts from the customer.
